Fat Tuesday in DFW: 2015 edition

Mardi Gras

Fat Tuesday has evolved into one of the bigger party days of the year in DFW. It's also the perfect excuse to drink on a weeknight.

This year, Fat Tuesday falls on Feb. 17, meaning it comes on the heels of Valentine's Day weekend and President's Day. And depending on how your Valentine's Day weekend went, a night of partying during the week may be just what the doctor ordered!

Here is a random sampling of some of the hotter spots to check out on Fat Tuesday in DFW:

Reservoir-Bar, Patio & Kitchen on Foch St. in Fort Worth's West 7th neighborhood is hosting a Fat Tuesday party with a "Cajun Crawfish Patio Boil" by Chef Rogers and Chef DeFranco that begins at 6 p.m. and goes until they run out. There will be sounds by DJ D-Roz, beads and party favors.

Landmark Bar & Kitchen on Bledsoe on the opposite end of the West 7th development from Reservoir, is hosting a Fat Tuesday bash with a trip to New Orleans as the big prize for the night. Drink specials include $3 Hurricanes, $3 Fat Tuesday shots and $3 Po Boys.

The Social House, the brand new hot spot in the center of the West 7th corridor across from the Movie Tavern, will have a Mardi Gras party on Fat Tuesday with a DJ and drink specials including $5 Hurricanes and $3 Abita beer. Since Social House is known as much for its food as its scene, look for the crawfish pasta, crawfish etoufee, seafood jambalaya and shrimp creole (all priced at $11.95) to be popular on this night.
