The first time I drove on the Qurum-Naseem Garden expressway, it was a sheer pleasure to drive amid many lanes and few traffic around. It gave the feel of being on the highway between cities.
Also, it cut travel time significantly and, so, I use this expressway almost everyday. However, I must agree that there is need for providing many amenities like phone booths, traffic assitance posts as well as petrol pumps/coffee shops for those who suddenly need help. There is none at present.

Yes, I strongly believe that there must be public amenities on every express highway. It is a long way and different type of people use it daily. So, it is necessary that public amenities are to be arranged.

Yes, I think this expressway which connects to extremities in the capital, does need some amenities enroute, especially stations with tow vans for any emergencies as well as fuel stations indented along the road.

I have used this expressway but I feel very scared as it is very intimidating to be driving alone at high speed with only stony mountains on both sides. I always wondered, what people do when they have any emergency on the road. There is no place for stopping, no drinking water provision, not police patrol booth, etc.
Therefore, I have stopped using this highway when I am alone. I only drive on this stretch if accompanied by someone, or if I am in a hurry.

I have not used this expressway, though all my friends say it is very convenient to save time. But, I do not understand what amenities do people need while driving. A good road is all that one needs to reach one's destination. There should be no reason to stop in between and it is common knowledge to check the fuel tank before driving.

All expressways that connect cities in Oman have no amenities except fuel stations. But this expressway does not have even that. It is very important to have assistance on the way, in case of accidents, like telephones/water/toilets/traffic police help, etc.

I never thought about it, but we must have some public amenities on this expressway so that people have access to help. The drive on this stretch is really boring and can be frightening in the night time for lady motorists. We need some greenery and buildings/shops along the way, also more signage, so that the drive is more appealing to motorists.
