No earthquake 'felt' in Oman

Muscat: Tremors of Iran earthquake were not felt in Oman, Sultan Qaboos University Earthquake Monitoring Centre said.

"The earthquake happened at around 3:45am in Iran-Iraq border. The epicenter is some 700kms far from Muscat," a scientist from the monitoring centre said.

However, reports of tremors were posted on various social networking sites in Oman.

According to USGS, the epicenter of the earthquake was 27kms far from Dehloran city in Iran.
