John Malkovich re-creates iconic portraits

Actor and director John Malkovich teamed up with photographer Sandro Miller for an upcoming exhibition in which Malkovich poses in re-creations of iconic photographs. The exhibition, "Malkovich, Malkovich, Malkovich: Homage to Photographic Masters," will take place in November at the Catherine Edelman Gallery in Chicago. Here, Malkovich poses in a re-creation of the "Migrant Mother" portrait that was originally shot by photographer Dorothea Lange in 1936.


Malkovich poses as author Ernest Hemingway based on Yousuf Karsh's portrait of Hemingway in 1957.


Malkovich is director Alfred Hitchcock in this re-creation of Albert Watson's photo in 1973.

Malkovich poses as revolutionary figure Che Guevara. The iconic Guevara portrait was taken in 1960 by Alberton Korda

Malkovich and Miller re-created this famous portrait of artist Salvador Dali, which was taken by Philippe Halsman in 1954.
